When machines will take your job

Note predictted by AL GURUS! So my friend if you think you do not need to understand anything about algorithms, predictive analytics software and artificial intelligence better think again. http://bigthink.com/paul-ratner/heres-when-machines-will-take-your-job-predict-ai-gurus

Critical behavior and bananas

Not long ago I commented with a colleague that being critical is not a defect, just a characteristic of negative people, but one of the engines of innovation. This week I discovered a new way to peel bananas much more efficiently and how to get out of bed with her practically tidies up in the morning. For me this is being critical. Do not settle. Search, test and implement a better way of doing things, all of them. Who knows in the meantime you will discover something extraordinary.

Turnover over time. What's on Google and Amazon?

Isn't that something?

The physiology in problem solving can be much more complex

I've heard a lot about problem solving but I think identifying them is just as important. Understand well, yes a problem can be a question to be answered but also improvement points that can only be identified through a thorough analysis of the process or of several processes. At this point the convergent mind is as important as the criative or divergent mind. Unfortunately people with both hemispheres of the brain well-developed (maybe can be trained) and who transiting between them (definitely can not be trained) are rare and I believe HR has no way of including an EEG in the recruitment process. Maybe we all need co-pilots.

Helium 3 - The race to mining the moon

Some time ago I read an article about the race to mining the moon. As I usually do I looked for other recognized sources to confirm the information and it is true. At this very moment companies are planning first robotic test flights which should happen later this year and discussing processes and techniques to mine Helium-3 for example which is a a clean, non-radioactive energy source that could potentially power nuclear fusion reactors. This is the kind of information that excites me and at the same time saddens me. It saddens me to notice how many passive and unbelievers people there are out there. Simple passengers of this world. Who also complain about the increasing concentration of knowledge and wealth. And you, what kind of person do you want to be?
